Week 9

Powtoon Review

Hello everyone! I am back with another lesson to update here. So, today is the day the whole groups need to submit our Powtoon video regarding the campaign that we did for our topic. Our group managed to finish editing the video a day before the submission day. We are so happy that we make it through all the sleepless night in order to make sure that video and the script are well prepared for our lecturer to watch it. 

None of us is a great editor, but together we are able to do it. We have to make sure the content itself can attract people attention, in our case, our lecturer. Need to have animated pictures and basically need to be creative in our own way in order to be interesting for our audience as our target audience are the obesity people. Frankly, nobody wants to see a boring video, therefore, I am thankful that I am capable to do this because previously, I thought to do a Powtoon video is quite hard as there were a lot of things you needed to do before you start to do a video. By doing Powtoon for my groupd assignment, I did not fear to use Powtoon after this for my informal or casual presentation because it makes a huge difference in the presentation itself. people will just look at your video with all the animated things go around so nobody will fall asleep then during the presentation. 

My group has to upload our video in youtube and paste the link in the document that our lecture gives to us. When almost every group paste the link, she clicked it and looked at the video each of the groups which were really scary actually. But Alhamdulillah, we did it. She was happy with the outcome of every group. 

Week 8

Road to do an explainer video

Hello everyone!! I am back for updating a new lesson for this week. This week my lecturer has assigned me and my friends to do an explainer video. The tasks that I have to do is to create a campaign video by using Powtoon. As this is an assignment in a group so our lecturer madam Azida split us into each group will going to have 3 people in there.  We have to do an informative video regarding a topic that is free to choose in order to acknowledge people for this campaign. 

Therefore, the first thing that my group did, we chose our topic that we want to do for our campaign. We decided to choose "Plogging" as our idea to persuade people to do it as it is started to be widely known in many other countries such as Germany, America and Sweden.  The reason why we chose" Plogging", it is because the garbage around our environment has increased, especially at the park. Not only that, but the level of obesity among people is also increasing as year by year. Hence, we are here to give a solution to those problems. It is by doing "Plogging". Well, "Ploging" is actually a jogging activity while picking up the rubbish around you.

we did revise our script twice with our lecturer, Madam Azida. It is hard at first get to do an interesting explainer script video because it required us to be more lively and able to attract our audience attention to get what we wanted to tell them in a conversational tone. The reason why we chose this topic for our campaign is that we want to give information to people so that they would aware of plogging and the true meaning behind it. 

Week 7

Powtoon about my life goals

Hello there, here I am again to update a new lesson for this week. So as I mentioned in my post earlier, I have to do a Powtoon video about my life goals. Hence, I do a list of the things that I have been dreaming to have in my life. Well, actually I have a lottttttttt of goals that I want to achieve. But the thing is the video should do for a 1-minute video that displays those goals. Because of that, I decided to only have a few goals and keep the rest in my heart. 

So, once I finish listing my goals, I choose the theme that I want to use for the video. I choose the one that writes “more templates”. Then I clicked it, the web display any kind of templates that I can choose an appropriate template according to my topic. 

So what I did was, I chose the template that was actually for celebrating of event or festival but I changed the theme to my life goals. It was hard at first to familiar with the thumbnails that showing at the top side but then again my lecture showed me how to use it. I could choose to create a mood so that I would be able to adjust everything in there. The font as well I could change it according to my liking.  The most interesting part was I could add effects on the wording. I was on the cloud nine when I managed to do it.

Week 6

PowToon

Hello everyone, I am back with another topic to update in here. It is PowToon! 

 So, allow me to explain a little bit about PowToon. Powtoon is actually a web-based animation software that will allow you to quickly and easily create animated presentations with your audience by manipulating pre-created objects, imported images, provided music and user-created voice-overs. Powtoon also is used by businesses to create engaging, creative presentations that can capture attention. It is also can be similarly used for educational assessment and content delivery. There is a free version available as well as a paid subscription that allows for more features. If it is stated as Pro, mean that you have to pay for it if you want to use. It can be said that PowToon is a new way to elevate more of your presentation so that people do not get bored to see it.

I was instructed by my lecturer to do a presentation by using PowToon to present my life goals. Hihi basically anything that I want to achieve in my life. 

Week 5

Road to do a podcast

                Today, i was told by my lecturer that, our podcast assignment required us to use tools like Audacity and Band lab. So, what is Audacity? The first thing is  Audacity is an open source multilingual audio editor and recorder software that is used to record and edit sounds. Not only that, Audacity also can be used in Windows, Mac OS X and many more. It can utilized to perform a number of audio editing and recording tasks such as making a ringtone, mixing stereo tracks, transferring tapes or splitting recordings into separate tracks. So the task that i need to do is to edit my audio through this website. By doing that, i can add more effects or decrease the amount of noises that is made in that audio in fact the raw audio should be in a good condition as well. 

Next, Band Lab

So this is how band lab looks like. Band lab is a social music platform that enables creators to make music and share the creative process with musicians and fan. BandLab also combines music making and collaboration tools like the world's first cross-platform DAW, with social features like video sharing, messaging and discovery. Just login to the website www.BandLab.com . For this website, i have to use this in order to record my voice as it will be a lot easier to download and save it. So, by using bandlab i can use the audio and edit in audacity.
